The film production I recently posted about has undergone some changes.

There still will be a street and lane closure November 29th through December 4th.

    • There will be a full street closure of Howard St. NE from Warlick Pl. NE around the curve onto College Ave NE until Kirkwood Rd. NE from 11/29-12/3 but the filming times have changed for some of the above dates.
    • **Updates** -
      • (11/29) is now 9am-10pm
      • (11/30) is now 11:30a-12:00am
      •  (12/1-12/3) remains overnight filming, 4pm-4am
      •  The west curb sidewalk will remain open for pedestrians, but they may be asked to wait a moment during filming.
      • The southbound lane (west curb) of Kirkwood Rd. NE will also be closed from 8am-5am, 11/29-12/4.
      • The northbound lane (east curb) will remain open to motorists and both sidewalks will remain open to pedestrians.

I reached out to the production and they assured me that there will be a safe flow of traffic as this space is reserved for a couple trucks, and little crew activity.

    • APD officers will be on site directing traffic.
    •  The TCP map of the closure remains the same, and I have included the updated notification letter from the production team.
    •  ***THERE IS NO LONGER ANY SIMULATED GUNFIRE*** -The production team has cancelled all scheduled plans for simulated gunfire.
    •  This is still a big production, so please contact me or the location team with any concerns over safety. Best, Daniel Kolodziej Kirkwood Film Liaison daniel.kolodziej@historickirkwood.org

The City of Atlanta is currently considering a second round of TSPLOST funding for $300M as well as a second infrastructure bond of $400M to support necessary infrastructure investments. Thanks to Little 5 Points CID Board member and District 2 City Councilmember Amir Farokhi, the full $3M Euclid Avenue improvement is currently on the draft TSPLOST list, but we need your help to make sure it makes the final cut!

At this point the list is simply in draft form, and given that the City of Atlanta has more than $3B in infrastructure funding needs over the next 20 years, that list may change before it's formally voted upon by City.

We need L5P supporters to participate in the City's upcoming community information meetings over the next 2 weeks to speak up about the need for our Euclid Avenue improvements. The meeting for the NE quadrant of the city will be Thursday, November 18 from noon to 1 pm and again from 6 to 7 pm.

Please use this City of Atlanta Zoom link to call in during the meetings and show your support for Little 5 Points and our infrastructure needs. We will continue to keep you posted on the approval process as these lists move through the City. As of now, the TSPLOST and Infrastructure Bond papers will be submitted to appropriate Council committees the week of November 29, 2021.

A film production is coming to Kirkwood November 17th-20th that will require a lane, and street closure, and overnight filming on Friday the 19th.

The south lane of Robson PL NE will be closed the 17th-20th from 7am-7pm with the north lane remaining open to motorists and pedestrians.

Robson CT NE will be a full street closure from 11am on Friday the 19th, until 11am on Saturday the 20th.

APD officers will be on site directing traffic.

I have included a TCP map of the closure, and the notification letter.

Also, the Locations team from the production is hosting a community coffee and pastries event for any Kirkwood residents concerned and/or fatigued about filming in the neighborhood, and to simply put a face behind the production and answer any questions.

They have rented the Kirkyard Public House patio, and will be serving coffee from Taproom, and pastries from Evergreen Butcher and Baker this Saturday, November 13th from 10am to 12pm. All Kirkwood residents are welcome!
