75% of Renew Atlanta/TSPLOST Rebaselining survey 1 prefer Complete Street funding scenario. Renew staff suggest a mix of Complete Streets (26 miles) and resurfacing (135 miles) & signal upgrades. $9.8M for council projects.

Fully funded: Eastside Trolley Line Trail, Resurfacing of DeKalb Ave (includes reversible lane removal)
Design-only: DeKalb Ave Complete Street and Euclid Avenue Complete Streets

2018 was a very successful year for the Kirkwood Business Owners' Association.  Thank you to all the members, sponsors, volunteers and supporters.

MEMBERSHIP:

• We reached 90 members strong in 2019. This time last year we had 65. Wow, that's 25 more members!! KBOA also has a 85% of it's members renew.  Thank you!
  

NEW BOARD OF DIRECTORS:

• 12 dedicated business owners volunteer their time and expertise to KBOA. They keep an eye out of what's important to business owners in Kirkwood and implement on projects that will make a positive impact on the Kirkwood community.  MEET THE NEW 2019 BOARD
  

PROMOTIONS AND IMAGE IMPROVEMENTS:

• All new banners were designed and installed downtown Kirkwood as well as an extension to Howard by Smugs Fitness and down to Kirkwood Park by Poppa Corn's. We hope to extend further down College Ave towards Sun in My Belly in Spring.
• Published Kirkwood Map and Guide. Perfect for businesses, residents and visitors. All current KBOA members at time of printing are represented. The next printing deadline will be June 14, 2019. Make sure you're current!

2018 KIRKWOOD WINE STROLL: VIEW THE PHOTOS AND VIDEO

• Over 1600 tickets were sold to the event. We estimate about 3000 people attended to enjoy the food and music.
  
• 44 wine pouring stations
• 10 food bite stations
• 68 volunteers
  
• 14 sponsors totaling $11,000
• $32,000 in profit
• $5,000 donated to community non profits. Check out the awardees

ANNUAL HOLIDAY MIXER:

A successful year would not be complete without a celebration. On December 4th, we ate, drank and enjoyed community while raising funds for KUCC's Families in Need program.  Together, we raised $906. Thank you to everyone who donated food, volunteered, donated silent auction items and attended. SEE MORE PHOTOS AND INFO

Wishing you a happy holiday season and look forward to seeing you on TUESDAY, JANUARY 15, 2019 @ 11AM for our first meeting of the new year. We'll meet at the KUCC Church House at 100 Rogers Street.

Thank you to everyone who attended our annual KBOA Holiday Mixer on Tuesday December 4th. With over 40 business owners, residents and community supporters in attendance, we raised $906 for KUCC's families in need for the holiday season and had a great time doing it!

A successful Kirkwood Wine Stroll meant KBOA could award $5000 to 4 community nonprofits. Check out the awardees and see photos. 

Thank you to Kirkwood Car Wash, Seviin Yoga,  Augusta Designs, Indigo Wellness, Conscious Health Wellness, Guitar Shed, Cluetown Books, Language International Kids, Scout & Arrow, Kirkyard Public House, Atlanta Clay Works, Elmiryachi, Law Office of Paige Arden Stanley, L.L.C., Steel City Pops and Poppa Corns for donating to the silent auction.

As always, we had great wine and beer too.
